Albenda 200 mg Tablets contain albendazole, a benzimidazole anthelmintic that works by inhibiting microtubule formation in worms, depleting their energy stores and causing paralysis/death. Effective against roundworm (Ascaris), hookworm, pinworm/ threadworm (Enterobius), whipworm (Trichuris), and tapeworm infections. Also used for hydatid disease and neurocysticercosis in higher/longer regimens. The 2-tablet pack provides the standard single 400 mg adult dose for most intestinal worm infections.
