Product Description
Apigen Drops 10mL is a sterile ophthalmic and otic solution containing gentamicin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against a wide range of gram-negative and some gram-positive bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Klebsiella, and Staphylococcus species. It is used to treat superficial bacterial infections of the eye (such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis) and external ear infections (otitis externa). The drops work by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, providing rapid reduction in inflammation, redness, and discharge. The clear solution comes in a convenient dropper bottle for hygienic, targeted application and is effective for preventing infections after foreign body removal from the eye. Benefits • Effectively treats bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, and eyelid infections • Provides relief from external ear infections (swimmer's ear) • Reduces inflammation, redness, itching, and discharge • Broad-spectrum action against resistant bacteria like Pseudomonas • Helps prevent post-trauma eye infections • Fast-acting with targeted local delivery How to Use • Wash hands thoroughly before use • Tilt head back (for eyes) or sideways (for ears) and instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye or 2-3 drops into the ear canal • For eyes: Up to 6 times daily; for severe cases, every 15-60 minutes initially • For ears: 3-4 times daily and at night • Avoid touching dropper tip to eye, ear, or any surface • Complete the full course as prescribed (usually 7-10 days) • Do not use for more than 28 days after opening; consult a doctor for prolonged use
