Product Description
Asa-Kor 81mg 30 Tablets is a low-dose enteric-coated aspirin tablet used for long-term cardiovascular protection. Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) at 81mg irreversibly inhibits platelet cyclooxygenase (COX-1), reducing thromboxane A2 production and preventing platelet aggregation, which helps lower the risk of blood clot formation. It is commonly prescribed for: Secondary prevention after heart attack (myocardial infarction), stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) Primary prevention in high-risk patients (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, smoking history) Stable angina, coronary artery disease or peripheral artery disease After coronary stent placement or bypass surgery (in combination regimens) The enteric coating dissolves in the intestine rather than the stomach, significantly reducing the risk of gastric irritation, ulcers or bleeding compared to regular aspirin. The 30-tablet pack is convenient for a month’s supply (once daily dosing in most cases). It should only be used under medical supervision due to bleeding risks and interactions with other medications. Benefits: • Reduces risk of recurrent heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular events • Low-dose minimizes side effects while providing effective antiplatelet action • Enteric coating protects stomach lining – better tolerability • Once-daily dosing for good compliance • Widely recommended for secondary prevention in guidelines How to Use: • Adults: Take 1 tablet (81mg) once daily or as advised by a healthcare professional • Preferably take at the same time each day, with or without food • Swallow whole with water – do not crush, chew or split (enteric coating must remain intact) • Do not stop suddenly – consult doctor before discontinuation • Do not exceed the prescribed dosage • Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, nursing, have bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, asthma (aspirin-sensitive), kidney/liver issues, or taking other medicines (especially blood thinners, NSAIDs, corticosteroids)
