Augmentin 312 mg/5 mL Syrup is a paediatric-strength suspension combining amoxicillin with clavulanic acid to overcome bacterial resistance. Indicated for common childhood infections including otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis/pharyngitis, community-acquired pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and skin/soft tissue infections caused by susceptible organisms. The 312 mg/5 mL (often labelled as 250/62.5 mg) strength provides convenient twice-daily dosing for children. Once reconstituted, the pleasant fruit-flavoured suspension is easy to administer and well accepted by infants and young children.
