Aziglen 250mg Capsules contain azithromycin dihydrate, a second-generation macrolide that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis at the 50S ribosomal subunit. Indicated for community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial sinusitis, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, skin/soft tissue infections, and chlamydia. High tissue penetration and long half-life allow short courses (3–5 days). Avoid in severe liver disease or QT prolongation history.
