Cefix 200 mg Capsules contain cefixime, a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Highly effective against Gram-negative organisms (E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis) and some Gram-positive (Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes). Indicated for uncomplicated urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea.
