Ciloxan 0.3% Ointment 3.5g is a topical fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers (keratitis) caused by susceptible organisms. Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA replication, providing broad-spectrum coverage against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas. The ointment base ensures prolonged contact time on the ocular surface for enhanced efficacy, especially useful at bedtime to complement daytime drop use. Sterile and preservative-free in the tube; discard 28 days after opening. Not effective for viral or fungal infections. Manufactured by Novartis or Alcon; store below 25°C away from light.
