Clexane 4000 IU/0.4 mL Solution for Injection 2's contains enoxaparin sodium, a low-molecular-weight heparin derived from porcine intestinal mucosa. It potentiates antithrombin III to inhibit factor Xa and thrombin, preventing thrombus formation with minimal effect on bleeding time. Indicated for prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in surgical patients, treatment of established DVT/PE, prevention of clotting in haemodialysis circuits, and treatment of acute coronary syndromes.
