Concor 5mg Plus combines bisoprolol, one of the most cardioselective beta-1 blockers (protects the heart without affecting airways or blood sugar), with hydrochlorothiazide, a gentle thiazide diuretic that removes excess salt/water. The synergy gives stronger BP lowering than doubling the dose of either drug alone. Large trials (CIBIS, MERIT-HF follow-ups) show excellent cardiovascular protection and very low side-effect profile.
