Concor 5mg Tablets 30s (bisoprolol) is one of the most widely prescribed beta-blockers in the UAE. It selectively blocks β1 receptors in the heart, reducing heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure while improving heart efficiency. Commonly used for: Essential hypertension (first-line in many guidelines) Chronic stable angina pectoris Adjunct therapy in stable moderate heart failure (with ACE inhibitor + diuretic) Once-daily dosing gives smooth 24-hour control with minimal side effects. Onset within 1–2 hours; full antihypertensive effect in 1–2 weeks. Scored tablets allow easy halving to 2.5mg if required. Manufactured by Merck; store below 25°C protected from moisture.
