Coversyl 5 mg Tablets contain perindopril arginine, a long-acting ACE inhibitor that reduces angiotensin II production, leading to vasodilation and lowered blood pressure. Indicated for essential hypertension (alone or in combination), stable coronary artery disease (reduction of cardiovascular events), and symptomatic heart failure. Provides smooth 24-hour blood pressure control with once-daily dosing and proven cardiovascular protection (EUROPA study – reduced risk of heart attack, stroke, and CV death). The arginine salt formulation improves stability and shelf life compared to erbumine salt. The 5 mg dose is a common maintenance dose or starting dose in combination therapy.
