Product Description
Duphaston 10mg Tablets 20 Tablets is a prescription progestogen medication containing dydrogesterone, a retroprogesterone structurally similar to natural progesterone, used to treat endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), threatened or habitual miscarriage, and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) support. It regulates the endometrial lining, prevents hyperplasia when combined with estrogen, and supports pregnancy maintenance without androgenic or estrogenic activity. This pack provides 20 white, round film-coated tablets for flexible dosing regimens (typically 10-20mg daily). Rapidly absorbed with peak levels in 1-2 hours; metabolized in liver. Not a contraceptive. Manufactured by Abbott; store below 25°C protected from moisture. Benefits • Regulates menstrual cycle and reduces heavy or painful periods • Supports pregnancy in threatened miscarriage or luteal phase defect • Prevents endometrial hyperplasia in estrogen HRT • Relieves endometriosis pain and PMS symptoms effectively • No androgenic side effects unlike some synthetic progestins How to Use • Take as prescribed; typically 10mg 1-2 times daily from day 5-25 of cycle • Swallow whole with water; with or without food • For endometriosis: 10mg 2-3 times daily from day 5-25 • For threatened miscarriage: 40mg initially, then 10mg every 8-12 hours • Continue until symptoms resolve or as directed; do not stop abruptly • If missed dose, take as soon as remembered unless near next dose
