Product Description
Entresto 100mg Tablets 28 Tablets is a first-in-class angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) combining sacubitril (a neprilysin inhibitor) and valsartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker) to treat symptomatic chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adults. It reduces natriuretic peptide degradation while blocking angiotensin II effects, lowering cardiac strain, improving ejection fraction, and reducing hospitalization risk by 20-21% versus enalapril in clinical trials. This pack provides 28 purple, oval tablets for convenient twice-daily use, starting at lower doses and titrating up. Rapidly absorbed with peak levels in 0.5-2 hours; primarily excreted via feces and urine. Not for use with ACE inhibitors (risk of angioedema) or in pregnancy. Manufactured by Novartis; store below 25°C protected from moisture. Benefits • Reduces risk of cardiovascular death and heart failure hospitalization • Improves symptoms like shortness of breath, fatigue, and edema • Enhances cardiac function and exercise tolerance over time • Twice-daily dosing with flexible titration for personalized treatment • Superior outcomes compared to standard ACE inhibitor therapy How to Use • Take one tablet twice daily with or without food • Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew • Initial dose typically 50mg twice daily; titrate to 100mg twice daily as tolerated • Reduce dose in renal/hepatic impairment or if on diuretics • If switching from ACE inhibitor, wait 36 hours to avoid angioedema • Monitor blood pressure, renal function, and potassium regularly
