Ferose 50 mg Syrup is a well-tolerated oral iron preparation containing ferrous gluconate, providing 5.75 mg of elemental iron per mL. It is specially formulated for infants, children, and adults who have difficulty swallowing tablets or need a liquid iron supplement. The syrup effectively corrects iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia by replenishing body iron stores and supporting haemoglobin synthesis. Its pleasant fruit flavour improves compliance in children. Ferose has a low incidence of gastrointestinal side effects compared to ferrous sulphate preparations and does not stain teeth when used correctly.
