Fusibact Ointment combines fusidic acid (a narrow-spectrum antibiotic highly effective against Staphylococcus aureus) with betamethasone valerate (a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching). Indicated for short-term treatment of infected eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis flares with secondary infection, and other steroid-responsive dermatoses complicated by bacterial infection. The ointment base provides occlusive hydration while delivering rapid antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action. Benefits • Quickly controls bacterial infection while reducing inflammation • Effective against Staph aureus (including many resistant strains) • Rapid relief from itching, redness, and swelling • Ointment base ideal for dry, lichenified, or scaly lesions • High cure rates in infected eczema and impetigo • Allows faster healing by tackling both cause and symptoms How to Use • Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected area 2–3 times daily • Gently rub in until absorbed • Use for shortest duration necessary (usually 7–14 days maximum) • Avoid large areas, face, groin, or under occlusion unless directed • Taper gradually if used longer to prevent rebound • Do not use on viral/fungal infections or unbroken skin without infection • Seek medical review if no improvement in 7 days
