Galvus Met 50/500 mg Tablets combine vildagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances insulin secretion and reduces glucagon) with metformin (a biguanide that improves insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose production). Indicated as second-line therapy in type 2 diabetes when diet/exercise plus metformin or vildagliptin alone is insufficient, or as initial therapy in patients poorly controlled on metformin monotherapy. Provides effective glycaemic control with low risk of hypoglycaemia and weight neutrality.
