Product Description
Ganaton 50mg Tablets contain itopride hydrochloride, a gastroprokinetic agent that improves gastrointestinal motility by inhibiting dopamine D2 receptors and acetylcholinesterase. This dual mechanism increases acetylcholine release, promoting gastric and intestinal peristalsis without affecting gastric acid secretion. It is indicated for relief of symptoms associated with functional (non-ulcer) dyspepsia, including bloating, upper abdominal pain/discomfort, early satiety, nausea, and heartburn. Unlike some prokinetics, it has minimal cardiac side effects (no QT prolongation) and low CNS penetration. Taken before meals, it provides rapid symptom relief with effects noticeable within days. Benefits • Relieves bloating, fullness, and upper abdominal discomfort effectively • Accelerates gastric emptying for faster digestion • Minimal cardiac or central nervous system side effects • Improves overall quality of life in functional dyspepsia patients • Well-tolerated with convenient three-times-daily dosing • Alternative to domperidone/metoclopramide with better safety profile How to Use • Take one 50 mg tablet three times daily before meals • Swallow whole with water – do not crush or chew • Typical duration: 2–8 weeks depending on symptom response • If a dose is missed, take as soon as remembered unless near next dose • Do not double dose; complete full prescribed course • Consult doctor if symptoms persist or worsen after 4 weeks • Avoid in pregnancy/breastfeeding unless advised by physician
