Gloclav 457 mg/5 mL Suspension is a paediatric formulation combining amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic) with clavulanic acid (beta-lactamase inhibitor). It is effective against a wide range of resistant bacteria causing ear infections (otitis media), sinusitis, tonsillitis, lower respiratory tract infections, skin/soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections in children. The pleasant flavour improves compliance in young patients. Once reconstituted with water, the suspension remains stable for 7 days when refrigerated.
