Product Description
Gordex 20mg Capsules are delayed-release capsules containing esomeprazole, a potent proton pump inhibitor that reduces gastric acid production by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme in parietal cells. This action provides effective relief from symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including heartburn and acid regurgitation, and promotes healing of erosive esophagitis. It is also used for the treatment and prevention of NSAID-associated gastric ulcers, duodenal and gastric ulcers, and in combination with antibiotics for Helicobacter pylori eradication. The delayed-release mechanism ensures the active ingredient is released in the intestine, minimizing degradation in the stomach. Clinical studies show symptom relief within 1-4 days, with full healing in 4-8 weeks for most patients. Benefits • Rapidly relieves heartburn, acid reflux, and regurgitation symptoms • Promotes healing of esophageal and gastric ulcers to prevent complications • Reduces risk of NSAID-induced stomach ulcers and bleeding • Effective in eradicating H. pylori when used in combination therapy • Long-lasting acid suppression with once-daily dosing for convenience • Well-tolerated with low incidence of systemic side effects How to Use • Take one 20 mg capsule once daily, at least 1 hour before a meal • Swallow whole with water; do not chew, crush, or open the capsule • For GERD: Continue for 4 weeks; extend to 8 weeks if needed • For H. pylori: Use as part of a 10-day regimen with antibiotics • If a dose is missed, take as soon as remembered unless near next dose • Consult a doctor for dose adjustments in severe liver impairment; monitor for long-term use
