Product Description
Hirudoid Gel contains mucopolysaccharide polysulfate (MPS), a heparin-like substance with anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, and antithrombotic properties. It accelerates absorption of haematomas and oedema, improves blood flow in superficial veins, and reduces pain/swelling in conditions like superficial thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, bruises, contusions, and post-injection haematomas. The gel penetrates skin rapidly, providing local relief without systemic anticoagulation effects. Suitable for adults and children over 5 years, it supports tissue regeneration and is well tolerated on intact or damaged skin. Benefits • Rapidly reduces bruising and haematoma size (visible improvement in days) • Relieves pain, swelling, and inflammation in superficial veins • Improves microcirculation and promotes faster healing • Non-greasy, transparent – cosmetically acceptable under clothing • No staining or odour • Safe for repeated use on large areas How to Use • Adults and children >5 years: apply a thin layer (3–5 cm strip for 10 cm area) to affected skin 2–3 times daily • Gently massage in until absorbed • For extensive bruising: apply thicker layer and cover with occlusive dressing overnight • For superficial thrombophlebitis: apply and cover with bandage • Use until symptoms resolve (usually 1–2 weeks; longer for chronic conditions) • Do not apply to open wounds, mucous membranes, or eyes • Wash hands after application
