Jardiance 10 mg Tablets contain empagliflozin, a highly selective SGLT2 inhibitor that reduces renal glucose reabsorption, promoting urinary glucose excretion and lowering blood glucose independently of insulin. Indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise for improving glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes, and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in type 2 diabetes patients with established cardiovascular disease. Also approved for heart failure (with reduced or preserved ejection fraction) and chronic kidney disease to reduce progression and cardiovascular risks. Provides consistent HbA1c reduction, weight loss, and blood pressure lowering with a low risk of hypoglycaemia.
