Macromax 500 mg Tablets 3's contain azithromycin dihydrate 500 mg, a broad-spectrum azalide antibiotic that achieves exceptionally high intracellular and tissue levels. Indicated for: Respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia) Skin and soft tissue infections Acute otitis media Uncomplicated genital infections (chlamydia, non-gonococcal urethritis) Alternative therapy for typhoid fever and certain STDs The unique 3-day regimen provides the same efficacy as 7–10 days of many other antibiotics due to its extended half-life.
