Miragel 2% Oral Gel 40 g is an antifungal medication containing miconazole, an imidazole derivative with broad-spectrum activity against Candida and other fungi. It works by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes, leading to cell death. This gel is indicated for the curative and prophylactic treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis (oral thrush), fungal infections of the mouth, throat, esophagus, and gastrointestinal tract. The sticky formulation ensures prolonged contact with the affected mucosa for optimal efficacy. It is particularly useful in infants, children, and adults, including those with dentures or immunocompromised conditions prone to thrush.
