Montas 10 mg Tablets contain montelukast sodium, a selective cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits bronchoconstriction and inflammation caused by leukotrienes. Indicated for prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma (including prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction) in adults and adolescents ≥15 years, and for relief of symptoms of seasonal/perennial allergic rhinitis. Provides 24-hour control of asthma symptoms and reduces reliance on rescue inhalers when used regularly. Chewable forms available for younger children (different strengths).
