Monuril 3g Sachet is a broad-spectrum, single-dose antibiotic that rapidly achieves high concentrations in urine to treat acute lower urinary tract infections caused by susceptible organisms (E. coli, Enterococcus, Klebsiella, etc.). Fosfomycin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and has excellent activity even against many resistant strains. One sachet dissolved in water provides therapeutic urinary levels for up to 48–72 hours, eliminating the need for repeated dosing and improving compliance. 90–95% clinical cure rate in uncomplicated cystitis.
