NovoRapid FlexPen contains insulin aspart, a fast-acting mealtime insulin that starts working in 10–20 minutes, peaks at 1–3 hours, and lasts up to 3–5 hours. It is designed to cover carbohydrate intake at meals and correct high blood glucose levels. The FlexPen is a discreet, dial-a-dose device (1–60 units in 1-unit increments) with audible clicks and a push-button injection, making it easy to use for both adults and children with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
