Nuvessa is a single-dose metronidazole vaginal gel formulated for convenient, one-time treatment of bacterial vaginosis in adult women. The higher 1.3% concentration in a bioadhesive gel base allows effective treatment with just one application at bedtime, providing equivalent efficacy to multi-day oral or gel regimens while minimising systemic exposure.
