Otozol Ear Drops (or similar clotrimazole-based otic solutions) combine clotrimazole (imidazole antifungal) with antibiotics like neomycin and gramicidin to treat mixed infections of the external ear canal (otitis externa/swimmer’s ear). Clotrimazole targets fungal causes, while antibiotics handle bacterial involvement. Often includes a mild steroid for anti-inflammatory effect. Used for infected eczema of the ear canal, fungal otitis externa, and post-swim or humid climate infections.
