Patanol 0.1% Eye Drops 5mL is a sterile ophthalmic solution containing olopatadine hydrochloride, a selective H1-receptor antagonist and mast cell stabilizer. It is indicated for the treatment of signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, including itching, redness, swelling, and watering of the eyes caused by allergens such as pollen, dust, animal dander, or ragweed. Olopatadine works by blocking histamine release and inhibiting inflammatory responses in the eye, providing rapid and effective relief. The solution is clear to pale yellow and includes benzalkonium chloride as a preservative.
