Profinal 600mg Tablets contain ibuprofen, a propionic acid derivative that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, providing effective relief from mild to moderate pain, inflammation, and fever. Indicated for musculoskeletal pain, dysmenorrhea, postoperative pain, migraine, and fever associated with infections, it offers higher potency than standard 400 mg doses with faster onset (15-30 minutes) and longer duration (6-8 hours). The film-coated tablets minimize gastrointestinal irritation while maintaining rapid absorption. Clinical studies show superior efficacy compared to paracetamol 1000 mg in dental pain and dysmenorrhea. Not for long-term use without medical supervision due to NSAID risks.
