Protomax MUPS 20 mg Tablets contain esomeprazole, the S-isomer of omeprazole, in a multiple-unit pellet system (MUPS) formulation, where each tablet consists of hundreds of tiny gastro-resistant pellets that release the drug gradually in the small intestine. Indicated for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, duodenal and gastric ulcers, NSAID-associated ulcers, H. pylori eradication (in combination therapy), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. The MUPS technology provides consistent acid suppression with once-daily dosing and reduced variability compared to standard capsules. Offers effective 24-hour acid control with rapid symptom relief (within 1–2 days).
