Pulmicort 0.25 mg/mL Nebulising Suspension 20's contains micronised budesonide 0.25 mg/mL (0.5 mg/2 mL Respule) delivered via jet nebuliser. It acts locally in the lungs to suppress chronic inflammation in asthma, wheezing disorders, and croup (in children). Each single-dose Respule is preservative-free and designed for use with a compatible nebuliser. Regular twice-daily use significantly reduces asthma symptoms, improves peak flow, and decreases the need for rescue medication. Onset of therapeutic effect occurs within days, with maximum benefit after 2–4 weeks.
