Pumpinox is a widely used PPI that suppresses gastric acid production by inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining. It is indicated for: Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD/GERD) Erosive oesophagitis Peptic ulcers (duodenal and gastric) Helicobacter pylori eradication (in combination with antibiotics) Prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers Zollinger-Ellison syndrome The 20 mg dose is suitable for mild to moderate acid-related conditions and maintenance therapy.
