Product Description
Rybelsus 7 mg Tablets contain semaglutide, the first oral GLP-1 receptor agonist. Taken once daily, it mimics the action of natural GLP-1 by stimulating glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppressing glucagon, slowing gastric emptying, and reducing appetite – leading to significant HbA1c reduction and clinically meaningful weight loss. Indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise in adults with type 2 diabetes, either as monotherapy (when metformin is inappropriate) or in combination with other antidiabetic medicines (including insulin). The 7 mg dose is the usual maintenance dose after titration from 3 mg. Benefits • Significant HbA1c reduction (up to 1.2–1.5% at 7 mg) • Proven weight loss (average 3–4 kg over 6–12 months) • Cardiovascular protection – reduces risk of major adverse CV events • Convenient oral tablet – no injections required • Once-daily dosing with low risk of hypoglycaemia • Improves fasting and postprandial glucose control How to Use • Adults: start with 3 mg once daily for 30 days, then increase to 7 mg once daily; may further increase to 14 mg if needed • Take on an empty stomach first thing in the morning • Swallow whole with up to 120 mL (half glass) of water • Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking (other than water), or taking other oral medications • Can be taken any consistent time if morning is inconvenient • Do not crush, chew, or split tablets
