Scabi Gel 5% is a topical scabicide indicated for the treatment of scabies (Sarcoptes scabiei) and pubic lice (crab lice). Permethrin works by paralyzing and killing mites/lice and their eggs. The gel formulation spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and is especially suitable for hairy areas or when a less occlusive base is preferred. One correctly performed application is curative in approximately 95% of cases; a second application may be advised after 7–14 days if live mites are still present.
