Tobrex 0.3% Ophthalmic Ointment 3.5g (tobramycin) is a sterile, broad-spectrum antibiotic ointment effective against most common Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria that cause external eye infections, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is the preferred first-line treatment in the UAE for: Bacterial conjunctivitis (“pink eye”) Blepharitis and eyelid infections Corneal ulcers (bacterial keratitis) – under ophthalmologist supervision Prevention of infection after foreign body removal or minor eye trauma The ointment base provides longer contact time with the eye surface compared to drops, making it ideal for nighttime use or severe infections.
