Product Description
Uni Gauze Paraffin Gauze is a sterile, open-weave cotton gauze impregnated with white soft paraffin (petrolatum) to create a non-adherent dressing for superficial wounds. Commonly used for minor burns, scalds, skin graft donor sites, lacerations, abrasions, and leg ulcers where exudate is low to moderate. The paraffin coating prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound bed, allowing pain-free removal while maintaining a moist environment conducive to healing. The sterile individual foil packs ensure hygiene and convenience for first-aid kits, clinics, or home use. Benefits • Non-adherent – painless dressing changes and minimal trauma to healing tissue • Maintains moist wound environment – supports faster healing • Low-linting – reduces fibre residue in wound • Soothing paraffin base – calms irritated skin • Breathable weave allows exudate drainage while protecting from contamination • Suitable for sensitive skin and paediatric use How to Use • Clean wound and surrounding skin with saline or antiseptic • Select dressing slightly larger than wound area • Apply paraffin side directly to wound (single layer) • Cover with absorbent secondary dressing (e.g., pad and bandage) • Change daily or when secondary dressing is saturated • For burns: cool area first; do not use on heavily exuding or infected wounds without medical advice • Store in cool, dry place; single-use only
