Vigamox 0.5% Eye Drops 5mL contains moxifloxacin 5 mg/mL, a potent 8-methoxy fluoroquinolone that penetrates the cornea and aqueous humour effectively. It inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, providing bactericidal action against Gram-positive (including MRSA), Gram-negative, and atypical organisms responsible for bacterial conjunctivitis. The preservative-free formulation in the DROP-TAINER® bottle minimises irritation and is approved for paediatric use from 12 months. Clear, pale yellow solution with rapid onset and excellent tolerability.
