Zithrolide 500 mg Tablets 3's contain azithromycin dihydrate 500 mg, a broad-spectrum azalide antibiotic that concentrates inside cells and tissues (up to 100× plasma levels). It is indicated for: Respiratory infections (pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia) Skin/soft tissue infections Acute otitis media Uncomplicated genital infections (chlamydia, non-gonococcal urethritis) Typhoid fever (alternative therapy) The convenient 3-day, once-daily regimen (total 1.5 g) provides the same efficacy as 7–10 days of many other antibiotics due to its exceptionally long half-life.
